ESB entstand 1971 als Nachfolger eines Biers namens "Old Burton Extra". Relativ schnell nach der Einführung stellte sich der Erfolg ein und ESB wurde zum festen Bestandteil des Portfolios von Fuller's.

Damals war es eines der stärksten Biere der Insel (5,9% vol.) und bis heute ist es ein absolut eindrucksvolles klassisches Ale.

"ESB has a wonderful rich mahogany appearance. Taking in the nose, the beer is bursting with cherry and orange, balanced by soft malty toffee and caramel notes. The flavour delivers everything you would expect from such a full-bodied ale. The unique blend of Northdown, Target, Challenger and Goldings hops imparts grassy, peppery notes on the tongue along with intense citrus fruit characters of grapefruits, oranges and lemons. Zum 150jährigen Jubiläum wurde 1995 dieses Bier erstmalig gebraut - zur Feier des Tages gab Prince Charles höchstselbst den Hopfen hinzu.

Seit der Einführung 1995 ist diese üppige und reichhaltige Bier zu einem der erfolgreichsten Produkte der Brauerei geworden. 100 Tage Reifung, zum Teil auf einem Heferest in der Flasche, lasen ein ausgesprochen komplexes und fruchtiges Bier der etwas stärkeren Kategorie entstehen (6,3% vol.)

London Porter ist eine Spezialität, die auf das 18. Jahrhundert zurückgeht. Der Name ist von den "Porters" abgeleitet - den "Warenträgern" die damals ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Transportinfrastruktur der Stadt waren.

Gebraut aus Malz mit unterschiedlichen Röstungsgraden ist dies ein ausgesprochen geschmacksintensives, schwarzes Bier mit 5,4% vol.
